Emirates Cement Bangladesh Limited (ECBL), is an offshoot of its parent company Star Cement. Which is now the forefront of manufacturing and trading of cement in the middle east, Africa and Asia.

As part of its growth, the company is establishing a state-of-the-art cement grinding plant of 2000 TPD at Mukterpur, Munshiganj near river Dhaleswari. Around 35 km from Dhaka city and well-connected by road and river way. The plant is very near to Pagla, which is the biggest wholesale market in the country.

Keeping in the mind the importance of quality of cement, the plant is equipped with latest German machinery supplied by CEMAC, Germany. The plant is also powered by a 10 mw power plant to supply uninterrupted power to the factory. The plant's location near Dhaka ideal for export to the north eastern states of India.

After successful completion of the project, the factory will be able to produce international standard Portland Grey Cement Type-1 meeting even more favorable parameters in respect of compressive strength, fitneness, setting time, soundness and chemical composition as specified under internationl standards like, ASTM, BS, as well as Bangladesh standard (BDS).
