Introduction
Established in the year 2003 under a Royal Decree and Trade License Number: 41703, from Supreme Council Member and the Ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi the factory is located in the Industrial City, Abu Dhabi Phase 1 at Musaffah.
STAR CEMENT L.L.C is a first manufacturing Unit belonging to ETA-ASCON group.
Production Capabilities
Phase I
STAR CEMENT L.L.C in Phase I has a Cement Grinding facility with a capacity of 500,000 MT per annum. The production Line has a high efficiency closed circuit Ball Mill circuit with the latest Dynamic separator to ensure uniform and reliable product with narrow particle-size distribution. Also The mill system Has a flexibility to grind various types of cement viz. OPC, SRC, Moderate SRC, Fly Ash Cement and many other blended cements catering to the needs of valuable customers. The process control is computerised and has the latest PLC system and will operated by well-qualified and experienced personnel.
All the mechanical and electrical machinery were supplied by CEMAG, Germany.

Phase II
In order to meet the ever increasing demand for cement, STAR Cement has initiated an additional Cement Grinding facility with 75 tons per hour in January 2008.
In addition to the additional grinding mill, feasibility studies are being undertaken to add additional cement silos for storing different types of cement as well to decrease the time of loading to the customers. It is further planned to have additional storage facilities for Clinker as well as Gypsum.
This plant will have the latest, and highly energy efficient and reliable plant machinery of German design. Environmental friendly dedusting systems will be installed as well.
Quality Control
To ensure stringent quality requirements to meet BS / EN / ASTM and many other international specification, a state-of-art-fully automated laboratory set up is being installed which will have Computerized strength testing machines, automated mixers and jolting machines, latest Blaine apparatus, laser particle analyzer, calorimeter etc. a dedicated QC / QA system will be placed to monitor the quality around the clock.

-Bulk cement lading to inland tankers.

The company has developed a quality system and safety policy that is infused into the working culture, assuring high quality & safety.

STAR CEMENT L.L.C will have a production capacity of 1,200,000 Tonnes.
Product List
The company is producing:
1. Ordinary Portland Cement conforming to BS: EN 197 Part 1: 2000 and ASTM C - 150 (Type I). Class 52.5 N. & 42.5 N.
2. Moderate Sulphate Resisting Cement conforming to ASTM C - 150 1999 (Type II).
3. High Sulphate Resisting Cement conforming to BS 4027 and ASTM C - 150 (Type V).
Environment
We are in the process of obtaining ISO 14001 for Environment Management System.
ACI –Abu Dhabi obtained the following certificates:
- ISO 14001:2007 Environment Management System in 28th march 2007.
- ISO 9001: 2000 Quality management System in 22 March 2006 and.
